Specimens examined. Las Galeras (Peninsula de Samaná), 3-X-2008, five females and three males on an unidentified liana.
Remarks. This species has previously been recorded from Costa Rica, El Salvador, Florida (USA) and Honduras. The five females measured are similar to the holotype except for the shorter setae j3 (29 µm long in the holotype), Z1 and S2 (27 µm in the holotype) and StIV (61 µm in the holotype). The length of the spermathecal calyx is close to what was reported by Moraes et al. (1991) for specimens from Cuba. Dorsal shield is distinctly imbricate in Dominican specimens, as it was mentioned by Moraes et al (1991) for specimens from Colombia. Although Muma et al. (1970) illustrate T. dentilis as having a smooth dorsal shield; later Muma (1975: 63) stated that this species has the dorsal scutum imbricate. Measurements of females collected are: dorsal shield, 316 µm long (300– 326) and 183 wide (176–188); ventrianal shield, 106 µm long (103–108) and 97 wide (95–100). Setae j1: 23 (22– 25), j3: 22 (20–24), j4, j5: 13 (12–14), j6: 15 (14–15), J2: 20 (19–20), J5: 8, z2: 16 (16–17), z4: 18 (17–19), z5: 14 (14–15), Z1: 21 (20–22), Z4: 45 (43–46), Z5: 72 (68–76), s4: 26 (25–28), S2: 20 (20–21), S4: 16 (16–17), S5: 14 (12–15), r3: 13 (12–14), R1: 17 (16–18), Sge IV: 32 (30–43), Sti IV: 14 (13–14), St IV: 52 (50–54). Cervix of spermatheca about 30 µm long.
