Neurotmeta sponsa (Guérin-Méneville, 1856), described from Cuba, and Monopsis tabida Spinola, 1839, described from the United States but not found there, were reported by Uhler from the United States, Dominican Republic and Cuba. O’Brien (pers. comm.) believes Uhler to be in error, and considers the type locality of M. tabida to be in error.
