Distribution in Croatia: Nominal subspecies only. From the Pannonian region via the Dinaric Alps and Kvarner to northern Dalmatia.

Distribution in Europe: From Southern Switzerland, Northern Italy, Austria and Slovakia (northern distribution border) via Balkans to Greece, European Turkey (southern border) and Ukraine (eastern border) (Hochkirch et al. 2016).
