First faunistic record for Croatia: Graber 1870

Distribution in Croatia: Known from several localities in the Pannonian region. Not common.

Distribution in Europe: From Northeastern France in the west and Lithuania in the north, via Southern Germany, Austria and Southern Poland to Northern Bulgaria in the south, and Southern European Russia in the east. Previous records from FYR Macedonia and Greece probably refer to M. truncatus (Hochkirch et al. 2016) .
