Zoogeographic element. European.

Distribution. Europe: from Northern (Sweden, Norway) to Western (England), Central and South-Eastern (the Balkan Peninsula: Bulgaria, Greece).

Distribution in Romania. Epigeal records. Sibiu (KL77) (Petri 1926); Timişoara (ER16), Mehadia (FQ07) (all: Kuthy 1896); Bäile Herculane–Domogled (FQ17) (Jeannel 1923). Hypogeal records. P. 6, 12, 13 in the Lupsa Valley (2122/6, 12, 13) (FQ49) (Decou 1964) (Fig. 9).

Ecological status. Subtroglophile.
