Zoogeographic element. Euro-Caucasian.

Distribution. Widespread in Europe, from Northern (Sweden, Northern Russia) to Southern (Italy), westward to England, eastward to the Balkans, Caucasus and Asia Minor.

Distribution in Romania. Epigeal records. Mehadia (FQ07) (Kuthy 1896); Sighişoara (LM21), Turnu Roşu (KL85), Sovata (LM55), Negoi (LL14), Rodnei Mt.
