Diagnosis. Antennae (Fig. 10) moniliform, shorter than head and prothorax combined. Prothorax slightly transverse, about 0.8 times as long as wide (PL/PW). Prothorax with notopleural suture complete and sternopleural suture absent. Elytral lateral margins with white ribbed scales around the middle; epipleura with about 4 rows of ribbed scales. Outer surface of protibia in male with deep and large setose excavation at basal third. Parameres with translucent apical portion extended forward beyond apex of penis (Fig. 95).
Description. Length: 9 mm (♂, ♀). Body 3.1 times as long as wide (BL/EW), dorsal surface clothed with ribbed dark brown scales, whited ribbed scales present on frons and scattered behind eye, at base of prothorax and forming patterns on elytra, ventral side with mixed dark brown setae and white ribbed setae. Head subquadrate, median length of visible portion about 1.0 times (HL/HW) as long as greatest width. Temples present. Frons slightly concave. Labrum about as long as wide, with apex truncate and bordered with pointed tubercles. Gulamentum deeply impressed to accommodate labial and maxillary palps. Mentum 1.4 times as long as wide, median area prominent with surface flat. Antennae relatively short (Fig. 10) moniliform, shorter than head and prothorax combined; antennomere length/width ratios (♂), 1: 1.1, 2: 0.7, 3: 1.8, 4: 0.9, 5: 0.8, 6: 0.7, 7: 0.7, 8: 0.7, 9: 0.7, 10: 0.6, 11: 0.8.
Prothorax slightly transverse, about 0.8 times as long as wide (PL/PW); prothorax with notopleural suture complete and sternopleural suture absent; prosternal process extended between procoxae. Elytra about 2.1 times as long as wide (EL/EW) and 4.0 times as long as pronotum (EL/PL), lateral margins with white ribbed scales around middle; epipleura broad, with about 4 rows of ribbed scales, white ribbed scales concentrated in basal third, internal edge lined with row of white setae. Outer surface of protibia in male with deep and large setose excavation at basal third. Protarsus (♂) 0.7 times as long as protibia (TIL/TAL). Mesotarsus 0.8 times as long as wide mesotibia (TIL/TAL). Metatarsus 1.4 times as long as long as metatibia (TIL/TAL). Aedeagus with apex of penis emarginate, parameres with translucent apical portion extended forward beyond apex of penis (Fig. 95).
Remarks. This species was previously known only from the holotype (♀), its type locality is about 200 km east of Perth in WA. The new records extend considerably (about 2000 km) the distribution of the species.
