Type locality. Territory of Anaigonas, Venezuela.
Remarks. The brightly infuscated basal areas of the wings along with the bronzed distal apical cells simply distinguish this species. It possesses a timbal cover that expands over the lateral timbal cavity with the rounded apex (Fig. 1). Body length 32 mm, fore wing length 41 mm (Boulard & Martinelli 2011).
Distribution. The species is known currently only from the type male collected in Venezuela (Boulard & Martinelli 2011).
