Type locality. Route from Vitória to Belo Horizonte, Km 118, 850 m, Espirito-Santo, Brazil.

Remarks. The species is a medium sized animal for the genus, black and dark green with a slight lateral expansion to the abdomen prior to the terminal segments. It possesses a timbal cover that expands over the lateral timbal cavity with the rounded apex (Fig. 10). Body length 25 mm, fore wing length 35–37 mm (Boulard & Martinelli 2011).

Distribution. The species is known currently from the type series collected in southeastern Brazil (Boulard & Martinelli 2011).
