Type locality. Búzios, Rio de Janiero, Brazil.
Remarks. The species is black and is similar in appearance but larger than G. c u t a, G. nadae and G. platyrhina . It possesses a timbal cover that expands over the lateral timbal cavity with the rounded apex (Fig. 18). Body length 16–22 mm, fore wing length 22.5–29 mm (Boulard 1999 and specimens in the AFSC).
Distribution. The species has been reported previously from Brazil and French Guiana (Boulard 1999; Sanborn 2011a).
