Acrotrichis boothi sp. n.

Habitus Fig. 8A. Length 0.72 mm. Colour yellowish brown, head darker, antennae and legs pale yellow. Antennomeres 3–11 0.3 mm long Fig. 8 C. Mentum and submentum chaetotaxy Fig. 8 F. Breadth across eyes 0.25 mm. Pronotum 0.36 mm wide, 0.17 mm long, sides with a sinuation before the sharply pointed posterior angles Fig. 8 B. Elytra 0.43 mm long, 0.43 mm wide. Posterior margin of mesoventral collar with a medial excision Fig. 8 G. Posterior margin of metaventrum and coxal plates Fig. 8 G.

Male: ventrite six with 3/4 slightly thicker setae not clearly spines; aedeagus Fig. 8 E.

Female: spermatheca Fig. 8 D.

Etymology. Named in honour of Dr Roger Booth of the BMNH for his patience and help in dealing with my many requests.

Remarks. The yellow colour of the body and darker head, very sharply pointed pronotal angles, length of the elytra and form of the genitalia will quickly distinguish this species.

Type data. Holotype: ♀, Andasibe N.P., Circuit Indri 2, sifting, 20.xi.2010, S. Rahanitriaina (BMNH). Paratypes: 2 examples, same data as Holotype. 1 example, Ambohitantely Spec. Res., ABT/ Nov 2011/18, S.18˚11’48.7” E.47˚17’11.3”, 1614m, 22.xi.2011, L.S.Rahanitriniaina
