Almaty Region: 10 km S of Kaskelen [ Каскелен] (43°05'N, 76°35'E), 1735 m a.s.l., 13 V 2017, 15♂♂, 4♀♀, leg. RP; 10♂♂, 4♀♀, leg. JH; 14♂♂, 1♀, leg. KL.
Remarks.
Dorcadion unidiscale is endemic to southeastern Kazakhstan and it is known based on only a single population that is distributed in the area of Kaskelen on the northern slopes of the Trans-Ili Mountains (Danilevsky 1999). According to Toropov and Milko (2013), this species inhabits midmontane meadows at altitudes of 1500-2000 m a.s.l. The larvae feed on the roots of various grass species. The imagines (Fig. 14E) are active from the beginning of May to the first half of June.
