Syntype (NHM): card-mounted, “not \ 3245” [in Broun’s hand], “2” [handwritten]; “Mt Alpha \ Tararua” [in Broun’s hand]; “New Zealand. [red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit. Remarks. Broun examined a pair of specimens collected by H. Simmonds from Mount Alpha, Tararua Range. The beetles were found under a stone at an elevation of 4800 ft. (Broun 1912).
