Paralectotype (NHM, here validated): card-mounted, “ Cyphon graniger \ Ind. typ. D. S.” [written at base of card in Sharp’s hand], “PARA- \ LECTO- \ TYPE” [round label with blue margin], “Christchurch, [red underline] \ New Zealand.”, “Christchurch Wakefield” [in Sharp’s hand], “Sharp Coll. \ 1905-313.”, [handwritten] “Paralectotype \ Cyphon graniger \ Sharp \ det. Remarks. The species was collected by Wakefield at Christchurch (Sharp 1878).
