Biology.
This species lives in still water with abundant aquatic plants such as, ponds, paddies, and streams (Nakajima et al. 2020). The larvae feed on Zygnemataceae algae (Watanabe and Yamasaki 2020).

Japan: Honshu (Tohoku and Kanto Regions).
